Rumpsti Pumsti (Musik) Presents: SACHIKO / RINJI FUKUOKA / MICHEL HENRITZI / JACOB KIRKEGAARD

SACHIKO moved to Tokyo from her native Nagoya in the mid-nineties joining Jutok Kanekoβs Kosokuya as a vocalist. At the turn of the century she added improvised violin to her soundworld and played bass with Overhang Party alongside Rinji Fukuoka. At the same time she kicked off the shamanic vocal duo Vava Kitora with Yama-Akago.
βSachiko sounds as if she is gargling planets as she levitates wordless vocals through a slowly shifting bible-black background of orchestral drone. Canβt think of anything that so beautifully combines the vision of the original Dream Syndicate with the aesthetics of dark Japanese psychedelia.β β David Keenan (Volcanic Tongue)

JACOB KIRKEGAARD is a Danish artist whose works are focused on scientific and aesthetic aspects of sonic perception. He explores acoustic spaces and phenomena that usually remain imperceptible to the immediate ear. Kirkegaardβs installations, compositions & photographs are created from within a variety of environments such as subterranean geyser vibrations, empty rooms in Chernobyl, a rotating TV tower, and even sounds from the human inner ear itself.
