Mika Vainio / PRSZR / RATBAG & Sean Baxter / Farahnaz Hatam & Colin Hacklander

Mika Vainio, currently based in Berlin, was one half of the minimal electronic duo Pan Sonic from Finland, (the other half was Ilpo Väisänen). Before starting Pan Sonic in the beginning of the 90′s, Mika Vainio has played electronics and drums as part of the early Finnish industrial and noise scene.

His solo works, under his own name and under aliases like Ø, are known for their analogue warmth and electronic harshness. Be it abstract drone works or minimal avant techno, Vainio is always creating unique, physical sounds.
He has released on labels like editions Mego, Touch, Wavetrap and Sähkö and he has been producing among others with Alan Vega of Suicide, Keiji Haino, Chicks on Speed, John Duncan and Bruce Gilbert.

PRSZR (pronounced “pressure”) is the duo of Rafal Iwanski (from acclaimed polish percussion duo HATI) and austrian electronic music veteran Pure combining the eerie, computer generated sound world of Pure with the archaic, outer-wordly spaceyness of Iwanski’s percussion play. PRSZR’s first album “Equilirium” was released on Swiss label Hinterzimmer Records in November 2012.

Duo Colin M. Hacklander & Farahnaz Hatam

Present: “Disneyland? Fuck, man, this is better than Disneyland!”
Round II of their piece prepared for ERTZ Festival #14 (2013) in The Basque Country earlier this month. This year’s festival was dedicated to exploring ‘Los Sonidos de la Guerra’ (the sounds of war). This piece considers war through sonic signifiers & psychology via an elusively didactic effort towards achieving an eventual practical implementation of meta-jurisprudence. Drums, SuperCollider and more.

Colin Hacklander plays drums & percussion & electronics. Based in Berlin. Drummed for Capillary Action, The Observatory, Minneapolis Free Music Society, & as GOOD GOD. Has played Xenakis & Stockhausen, toured with Charles Hayward, and performed with Doudou N’Diaye Rose. Current co-director of NK Projekt.
