HELAAS / VINYL TERROR AND HORROR / SCATTERED ORDER
Scattered Order
Scattered Order finally, ultimately bring the 3 headed noise monster to Europe.
They formed in 1979, and at last they’re headed to your continent. Confounding listeners for decades with their genre bending approach to sound, Scattered Order are currently in full flight after a massive re-energising of their career. The band that founded the legendary Australian post punk M Squared label has been exhilarating young Australian audiences over the last three years with their totally unique approach to noise and tune.
Some of their work may be familiar to followers of respected labels Vinyl On Demand in Germany and Austria’s unique Klanggalerie label, who re-released both Scattered Order’s remastered first album Prat Culture Plus in 2009 and work recorded almost 30 years later the dark and arresting Adjust the Terminology.
Scattered Order will play at the eleventh annual Wroclaw Industrial Festival in Wroclaw, Poland on 9 November, as part of a European tour taking in Belgium (4 Nov), Germany (10 Nov), Austria (18 Nov), Spain (22-25 Nov) and France (27 Nov), with more dates to be announced shortly. Their current lineup of original members Mitch Jones (guitar, samples, sound manipulations, vocals) and Michael Tee (guitar, bass, keyboards, beats) has once again been augmented by sound artist and synth master Shane Fahey of The Makers of the Dead Travel Fast. Their multi-layered, sometimes abrasive, sometimes blissful sound is aimed at producing a third entity from the combination of noise with melody, adding seductive beats and eccentric processing.
While audiences can expect to hear some classics reverse engineered and newly menacing, Scattered Order’s phenomenal recent output will also be featured, including their latest album Planet Scrape, which broods and shimmers in equal parts, sometimes simultaneously. An album of exotic analogue synthesis, guitars fuzzed to their outer limits, beats reorganised in alarming and pleasing patterns, and found sound freakiness, Planet Scrape represents this unclassifiable noisemaking group at a new peak in their long and respected career. Scattered Order will perform under the writhing light of live video projections by Living Science Dept.

HELAAS
HELAAS (FR/AUS) http://helaasproject.blogspot.com/
From 100% analog (Ratbag – guitar) to 100% digital (Yvan Volochine – computer) and anything in between (Bex – voice, guitar, computer and Niedowierzanie – cello, accordion, trumpet, mandolin, computer, …), you can expect some serious dark music !
About the first Demon (2011):
The newly formed HELAAS project is the sonic encounter of the four Berlin-based artists BEX (soon on RuR), NIEDOWIERZANIE, RATBAG (also in Last Dominion Lost) and YVAN VOLOCHINE. A psychedelic noise-drone mamouth where each of the four protagonists leaves his mark, yet achieving coherence in a first album which is at the same time harsh and subtle, grating and warm, and at times highly lyrical. Somewhere between NWW and Troum, with a post-rock touch and cool packaging.
BEX (FR / Reue Um Reue/Le Dernier Cri) – http://www.benjaminbex.com/
Solo show with guitars, voice and electronics performing deep and mournfoul post industrial chants.
New album (LP) -”ROSEGGER” (rur022)
Reue um Reue is very proud to present “Rosegger”, the third opus by Berlin-based one-man project Bex. Originally from France, Bex has released two CDs on the French label “Le Dernier Cri” and played a great many concerts throughout Europe since his first live gig back in 2006. “Rosegger” is his first vinyl appearance, his most luminous and most intense work to date. As if emerging through some hermetic transformation from the harshness and anger of the previous albums, “Rosegger” is ablaze with a radiant, almost ecstatic mixture of joy and grief, drenched in light even in its darkest moments. Melodic guitarscapes and distant shoegaze vocals between lament and incantations pour over the listener, filling every pore, vein and cell with a warm, brittle, spellbinding emotion, taking him adrift on luminous waters which progressively darken on side B, finally drowning the incandescence into deep pools of doom drones like a glorious, achingly beautiful sunset.
NIEDOWIERZANIE (FR / Reue Um Reue) -http://www.myspace.com/niedowierzanie
Sound melodrama & organic crescendos performed with acoustic instruments, loops and electronics.
New album (LP)- “ATTENDRE” (rur021)
Finally the second album by the Berlin-based French multi-instrumentalist. Three years and many live gigs after the self-titled debut, Niedowierzanie’s music has lost nothing of his maestria and exotic flavour. The complex compositions using a variety of acoustic instruments and digital effects still tell us of faraway places, conjuring vivid pictures of south-American landscapes, Mediterranean balconies and eastern harbours. But it has also become more accessible, leaving behind the long experimental pieces and turning instead to shorter, more rhythmic, even danceable songs full of Bohemian romanticism and Mediterranean flair. Dreamy, lazily swaying ballads alternate with somber pieces like funeral marches in the heat and dust of a summer evening, revealing sudden pangs of unease and anguish behind the flowing southern nonchalance. With “Attendre”, Niedowierzanie delivers a masterpiece of Post-Mediterranea worthy of such legends as Novy Svet or Mushroom’s Patience.

VINYL TERROR AND HORROR
is a collaboration between Camilla Sørensen and Greta Christensen.
Our approach to music starts from a visual and sculptural practice.
Turntable deconstruction and rearrangement of the vinyl media in all imaginative ways is an essential part of our music.
We are working in the field of cinematic soundscapes with a high tolerance level of possible hi- fi disasters .
Sentimental heartbreaking sequences where the opera singer is looping and the birds are singing backwards……. untill the breakdown of needles and chaos is taking over. Cut up and mistreated records looping and creaking from dust and sloppy treatment. Pick-up`s being pushed disrespectfully over grooves. records spinning backwards and forwards while played from multible pick-ups simultaniously. Meanwhile the lady in stilletoes just keep on walking down the stairs.
Repetitive arrangements, dark sounds, neck breaking mixes, film-amateur sound effects, scratches, quieks, vinyls, terror and horror.
