Participating in reSource 003: P2P Vorspiel
Navngitt Mønster Opptog brings together Norwegian drummer and percussionist Morten Olsen (snare drum, tape delay) and Ruben Patiño (laptop, mixer). Their joint project blends acoustic and computer generated sounds while exploring the boundaries of repetitive structures and sound spatialisation. Rubén Patiño, also known as Pato, works in the field of computer music, an activity he combines with occasional incursions in the installation field. Patiño’s works are characterised by an algorithmic compositional style that is both irreverent and hyperenergetic. Morten J. Olsen is a musician, composer and improvisor best known for his work as a drummer with the Norwegian heavy-metal musique concrete duo MoHa! and the experimental chamber-rock band Ultralyd. Recently, aside from NMO, he has been working on playing the vibraphone with The Pitch and he’s also been exploring the inner sonics of a rotating 32-inch bass drum; in duos with Robin Hayward and Mike Majkowski, with the Splitter Orchester, with The New Silence – and solo – Mortens first solo bass drum album on +3dB records is expected early 2013.

This is a bulletin from the Fully Blown Death to Residencys Movement (FBDR).
We will not tolerate fat cat artists swanning around with subsidies while we have to hang around train station toilets scraping enough money together to buy an e string.
We declare open war on residential creative scum.
Our first demonstration of this stance will be the kidnapping and public execution of John Hegre (henceforth known as “the abomination”).
He is the pretty one in Norwegian boyband Jazkamer.
Come and watch us cut him up into little pieces.
